Since the 1st October 2008 in England and Wales, with a few exceptions, all buildings that are sold, leased or built are required to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). From the 4th January 2009 this requirement was extended to all properties that were placed on the market.  An EPC shows the official energy efficiency rating of a particular property in accordance with European Directives.

EPCs provide information to prospective purchasers and investors on the energy efficiency of a particular building.  The government hopes that this will encourage the consideration of fuel costs and energy efficiency as part of property occupation decisions.

LBS are fully accredited providers of Non Domestic Energy Performance Certificates.
